David Dupuis

David Dupuis is a fifth-year Computer Science student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Originally an aviation student, he made the switch to his current program after obtaining his private pilot certificate at age 19. He has nearly a decade of photography experience, first picking up a DSLR in 2016. Since then, he has traveled around the world, documenting everything from aviation to architecture. In 2020, he was published in TRAINS Magazine after winning the grand prize in their nationwide "In The City" photography contest.

Outside of photography, David has remained heavily involved in the aviation industry. He has over a year's worth of industry experience on the software side, participating in internships at Cirrus Aircraft and Garmin International.

In his free time, David loves to build and fix computers, go bowling, play guitar, and go on hikes. He is probably getting involved in a new hobby as we speak.

Luke Welsh

Sports Journalist/Photographer
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

Luke Welsh is a computer science student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. His main interests are in American racing (NASCAR/INDYCAR), as well as college and professional basketball.

He has done work as a sports photographer covering the Windy City Bulls, the G League affiliate team for the Chicago Bulls, as well as other assorted college basketball events around the Chicago and Saint Louis area. Luke also provides sports coverage and photography for Collinsville Daily News, including the Saint Louis Battlehawks and SIUE men's and women's basketball.

During the summer of 2025, Luke photographed the 2025 Indy 500, the INDYCAR St. Louis race weekend, as well as the Brickyard 400 (NASCAR).

Luke has been able to intern at companies including Northrop Grumman and Walmart Global Tech as a software engineer to supplement his coursework during the summer.

Luke's main goal is to have a shot at photographing one NFL/NBA game one day, as well as making it to as many racetracks as a photographer.

Hi! My name is Jay Sanders and I have a passion for all forms of media. From catching local shows in St. Louis to doing street photography in Downtown Chicago, I am always looking for different ways to express myself.

I am looking to develop my skills as a photographer and videographer by shooting anything and everything I can. The world of racing in particular stands out as an area of interest to me.

In my freetime, you can catch me sim racing, playing my guitar, or spending time outside.

Kate Gray

Kate Gray is a high school sports photographer based in St. Louis, Missouri, and a student at John Burroughs School. She specializes in capturing both the action and the emotion of athletic competition, focusing on the moments that make each game unforgettable.

In just over a year, Kate has worked with more than 17 teams, including NCAA Division I and Division III programs, St. Louis CITY Soccer, and the New York Mets. She has photographed roughly 10 different sports, from football and baseball to swimming and golf. In addition to the freelance business, Kate has also recently begun providing sports photography and other coverage to Collinsville Daily News.

Kate attended and earned certification from the School of the New York Times (Sports Journalism & Storytelling), where she developed skills in sports storytelling and media coverage. She continues to build her portfolio by covering high school, college, and professional events across the region.

When she’s not behind the camera, Kate serves as the president of her class at John Burroughs and competes in varsity swimming. Her ultimate goal is to continue photographing at higher levels of competition, building a career that combines her passion for sports with her creative vision.
