WashU Men's Basketball Rebounds with Blowout Win Over Case Western Reserve

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – It was a balanced scoring attack for WashU men’s basketball, who were victorious over Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), by a score of 104-66 in WashU Field House on Friday night.
The Bears improve to 11-2 overall, and pick up their first UAA conference win after losing to University of Chicago on Sunday, January 12. Case Western Reserve picks up their first loss in the UAA and drops to 5-8 overall.
Six WashU Bears made it into double-figures during the contest. Senior Drake Kindsvater led WashU with 17 total points (5-9 FG, 6-8 FT), and added 8 rebounds to the stat sheet. George Gale added 10 points and 9 rebounds, and junior Will Grudzinski put up 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

For Case Western Reserve, forward Andy Barba scored 16 points, and Sam Trunely added 14 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds, the only two Spartans in double figures.

Offensively, WashU had a stellar night, going 40 for 69 on field goal attempts (58.0%) and 9 of 19 from behind the arc (47.4%). The Bears were also very strong on the glass, out-rebounding Case Western Reserve by a margin of 47-19, which created 24 second chance points for the Bears.
